Rocco is a male Fawn Boxer
He is 6 years old , he weighs 76.4 lbs.
Actually I adopted him, he belonged to my daughter which she couldn’t care for him and his medical conditions so basically, he is my grand fur baby. His temperament is very good. He is so very patient with the Chihuahua and Papillon and his other friends that come to visit him. He is very protective and watchful of the Chihuahua and my grandson.
Rocco has had many ailments. Let me show you what happens when a dog is allergic to bee stings.
I was sleeping in bed and early in the morning he woke up went out to do his business with my husband. After my husband left for work he came over to my side of the bed and was starring at me. You know how you have a feeling something is there or looking at you; I opened my eye and screamed and asked him what happened. Got dressed so fast, called my husband and asked didn’t he see his face, he said nothing was wrong with his face. I took him immediately to the Vet where he got a shot and within the hour he was almost normal.
When Rocco was around 3 years old I noticed he would get hives but would slowly go away. As time went on it got worst and he also had stomach aches. He would walk with his head hanging low from the pain and I would hear his stomach gurgle. Took him to the vet but they would just give him antibiotics it would work temporarily. Finally I decided to have some other test conducted. I had Allergy Panel, T4 Panel and Nutriscan tests done within a 6 month period. I fed Rocco a lot of salmon and salmon oil not realizing that was one of the items that he was allergic to along with pork, barley, venison and white fish. Once I took those items off his menu his rash cleared up. It was a long process. His hair has all grown back, but it’s much lighter so his fur looks like a deer. I have a spotted boxer.
